The STIHL HTA 30 is a lightweight, battery-powered pole pruner designed for trimming high branches, cutting dead wood, and maintaining hedges. It runs on two interchangeable AS 2 lithium-ion batteries, which are compatible with other tools in the STIHL AS System.

It features a tool-free telescopic shaft extending up to 280 cm, making it suitable for taller trees, while still compacting down to 190 cm for easy storage. Weighing just 3.6 kg, it’s easy to handle, with a soft, rubberised grip for comfort and control.

The pruner uses a 20 cm guide bar and 1/4" PM3 saw chain, allowing clean, precise cuts on branches up to 17 cm thick. Its compact cutting head improves visibility and maneuverability in tight spaces. Chain tensioning is quick and simple with a spring-loaded adjustment system.

It operates quietly with low vibration, so hearing protection isn’t usually needed, and an LED indicator shows battery charge status. With two AS 2 batteries, it delivers up to 28 minutes of runtime or around 140 cuts.

Note: It’s not compatible with Kombi attachments or certain STIHL accessories like the HLA 40 head or shaft extensions.
